Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

WOW was December crazy and exhausting, but tons and tons of fun!
One of the first activities we did was make gingerbread houses with my mom and my sister Tia. I think they turned out pretty cute for our first time ever making them all on our own. We also spent 4 or 5 days of jam packed fun in Salt Lake City visiting my sister in law where we decorated sugar cookies and had a snow ball fight with cousins.Then on Friday Shawn and I met up with my family and went to temple square to look at the beautiful lights,and have dinner at "The Roof" restaurant. The next day we were able to attend my cousin Jonathan's wedding at the Mt. Timpanogas Temple.
We got back home from Salt Lake just in time to get ready for Santa. Christmas Eve we spent doing the traditional Anderson events which are; Mexican dinner, followed by the Nativity Play acted out by the littlest of Anderson's, and then the grand finale of the evening opening up pajamas and posing for pictures. This year my mom came up with the idea of having each sibling and their family sporting pajamas that represented their favorite team or college. Since us Tobler's aren't big sports fans we represented the Big Dogs from Virgin Valley. Christmas morning our kids woke us up at 6:00 on the dot. Who knows how long they had been awake but they new they couldn't wake us up before 6. Santa definantly found our house and the kidos were very spoiled. This Christmas was really nice at our house because we were able to have Shawn home as he has had to work on Christmas for the last 3 years. We were also lucky enough to have him home for New Year which we spent with our good friends the Frei's. We go over to their house every year and have dinner and good conversation while the kids play all night.
We have had a wonderful year and have been greatly blessed. We are surrounded by amazing family and wonderful friends. The kids are all healthy and growing way to fast sometimes I find my self looking at Kylee and wondering who's kid she is because their is no way I have a child that old. Time sure does fly by and I am anxiously waiting to see what the year 2010 brings.

October Fun!

We did some really fun things this October as a family. For Family night we took the kids to Stahli Farms to do the pumkin patch and corn maze.

We went to a really fun party at the park.

Kylee ran in the pumkin run at school (zoey didn't want to run she said she already had a pumkin so she didn't need one)

For Halloween we decided to head up to Salt Lake to spend some time with Rob, Jen and the kids and boy did we have a blast. Jens neighborhood was great to trick or treat in. The kids got tons of candy witch included a couple of full size candy bars and a soda pop.

Last weekend Shawn took Kylee on her first date to a 50's dance that was put on by the activity day girls and there wonderful leaders. They had such a good time and talked about it for days.
As one the activities prior to the dance Kylee, with the help of her leaders made that cute poodle skirt to wear.

It is so hard for me to believe that Anni is already one year old. I took her to the doctor the other day and she weight 23 pounds and is 31 inches tall. (Yes she is a big girl). She is in the 85 percentile in her weight and 95 percent in her height. She reminds Shawn and I a lot of Kylee when she was a baby.
We had a little Birthday party for her on the 23rd with all of her cousins. She had so much fun. She absolutely loved her cupcake and surprised me with her ability to open presents.

"Is it time to go yet?" is all we have heard out of Sophie's mouth since Kylee and Zoey started school a week ago. Finally on Monday she started preshcool at the Sunshine Academy with Mrs.Janeece as her teacher. She was a little nervous when it came time for me to leave her. As most of you know she is a little attached to her mother, but she was brave and didn't cry. This morning she got up with her sisters, got ready for school, and was ready to leave an hour and a half before school started so I think the fear has tured into excitement!

Back To School

The 2009/2010 School year has finally begain and everybody was so excited(including mom.)
This year Kylee started the 4th grade and her teacher is Mr. Tait.

Zoey enterted the 1st grade and her teacher is Mrs. Munford. There were no tears this year which was a big accomplishment.

I think it helped that she had her best friend Jordan in the same class.

Back in Action

Last weekend my family went out with friends to Coral Pink sand dunes. We had lots of fun until the wind started blowing. (For those of you who haven't had the experience of being at the sand dunes during a sand storm you are totally missing out) I'm still finding sand in places it shouldn't be.

It is really hard for me to believe that Anni is 6 months old where does time go? When we took her to her well baby check up she weighted in at a healthy 17lbs 13 ozs and is 27.5 inches long. Tall and chubby just the way we like it. I love this girl so much there is not a day that goes by that I thank my heavenly father for letting me raise this beautiful girl. She brings so much joy to our home and makes our family complete.

Some of her milestones up to this point are:

* Holds her own bottle

* Rolls from front to back

* Sits up

* Gives the best open mouth kisses(sometimes with tongue)

* Has a pretty good nap schedule

* So far eats rice cereal, bananas, applesauce, pears, and sweet potatoes

*Got her ears pierced

Fun in the snow and the sand

Last week was jammed packed with lots of fun. On Monday Shawn, Sophie, Anni and I went up to Kolab with Tianna, Beau and Josh to have some fun in the snow. It was Shawn and I's first time snowmobiling and boy was it a fun experience. Sophie's favorite part was sledding, I think she went up and down the hill at least 10 times.

Then on Thursday thur Sunday the whole family went to Dumont sand dunes. Zoey was a maniac on the little four wheeler. I think the only time she stop riding was to eat and sleep. Maybe Shawn will have a riding partner after all. While we were out there Mindy's little boy Trayvin turned 1 so on Saturday she had a little party for him. It was all going smooth until my dog decided to go into Lyle and Sarah's motor home and eat the birthday cake:( I was so embarrassed. Luckily the cake was fixable so the party wasn't a total wreak. We went with a really fun group of people. We would stay up late playing camp fire games and visiting. It's one of the funnest camping trips I have ever been on.

I have to post about one of my not so proud mom moments. Yesterday a couple of friends and I decided to take the kids to the park. The weather was perfect. So nice that we ended up staying there for 3 hours. It was really fun. At least until it was time to go home.
I put Anni in the car and threw the keys on the front seat. I then picked up Max and threw him in and shut the driver side door. Max started going crazy and really wanted out. Anni's door was still open until Sophie decided she was going to help out mom and shut it. I immediately tried to reopen it think nothing of it until I realized it was locked along with all the other doors. I then started to panic. I started digging in my diaper bag to find my cell phone but it wasn't there. Not to worry it was safe in my purse inside the locked car. Then panic really set in. I saw a lady over on the park equipment playing with her cell phone so I decided to run over and ask her if I could use her phone to call Shawn. Of course her cell phone was dead. I then asked her if you would mind watching my car why I ran over to my in laws house to use their phone. The lady was really nice and agreed. On a dead sprint I ran over to my inlaws and called Shawn. Just as I got Shawn on the phone Jay, Shawn's dad, drove up. I hung up with Shawn and quickly explained to Jay what happened. He told me to jump in his truck go home and get the some more keys and he would go over to the park and watch Anni. I drove as fast as I could to get home and back to the park of course not without hitting every red light. When I got to the park and unlocked the door Anni was screaming her head off. I felt SO bad. I was so upset and felt like the worst mom in the world. I am still not sure how the doors locked. The only thing I can think is that when max was freaking out in the car he stepped on the lock button. Lesson learned the hard way.

We got a new dog a few days ago and we are SO excited. His name is Max he is a 13 inch beagle. The kids absolutely LOVE him and he loves them.

Anni is getting so BIG its hard to believe that she is 4 months already. She had her 4 month check up on Friday and she weighed a whopping 15lbs 7oz and is 24.8 inches. On the growth chart she is 90% in weigh and 72% in length, so basically she is short and chubby.
Here are some of her milestones**

These are some pictures of Anni doing things for the first time. The one of her and I is her first time camping she did really well except or batteries on our trailer are bad so the kept dieing so we couldn't run our heater, so around 4:oo I woke up and her hands were ice cubes so I put her in bed with Shawn and I. The next picture is Anni with her Great Grandma Tobler who is 92 year old. Grandma is in a nursing home in mesquite now so we get to go she her. She probably wont remember we were there her short term memory isn't great but other then that she is as healthy as a horse. The bottom pictures are of Anni on her first 4-wheeler ride with Grandpa Tobler. She must of likes it because she slept the whole time the the machine was moving.

A fun ending to 2008

We had a wonderful CRAZY busy Holiday season. The weeks before Christmas was very busy with party's and preparation for Christmas, but we made it through. Here is a run down starting with New Years.
Every New Years we go out to the Frei's house for food and tons of fun. My girls look forward to it ever year.

On Saturday night Dec 27th Grandma Coleen decided she wanted to have a sleep over with all of the grandkids. Of course us parents thought that was a great idea.

On Saturday Dec 27th my sister Tianna blessed her sweet baby boy Joshua at her husbands parents house. Beau gave josh a great blessing.

The day after Christmas we headed up to Cedar City to see my grandpa Hulet. This was the first Christmas without my grandma which was really hard, but we managed to make the best of it with lots of visiting and fun in the snow.

We were alittle nervous that Santa clause wasn't going to find the kids this year, but he did and of course they were spoiled. We had a great Christmas Shawn surprised me with a Nikon D 60 camera which has been a ton of fun. I still have alot to learn with it but hopefully soon I will be taking some cool pictures.

Christmas Eve this year was at my house. We had almost all the Tobler's and My parents and grandparents over for Mexican food. After dinner the kids act out the nativity then they open one present which is always PJ's. This year grandma Coleen got all the girls High School Musical Pajama's. They thought that was really cool.

As a tradition the Sunday before Christmas the girls get new dresses. This year I was really excited because I was able to find them matching skirts and shirts. Every year it get harder to find them matching stuff because Kylee is getting so big.

Sophie was really excited this year to have her very own Christmas party. Julie got a bunch of kids together and had them make gingerbread houses out of gram crackers. As you can tell Sophie had a blasted. It was a couple weeks after Christmas before she let me throw her house away.

As you can see we were really busy. That's part of the reason it has taken my so long to post on my blog. I had to sit back and do nothing for a while. Hopefully I will keep on top of it from now on. Oh by the way did I mention in the middle of all this madness I was put in the primary presidency :o)

This year my parents took all the Heritage Electric employee's to Las Vegas. We went to dinner and then we went to the blue man group. It was a blast. Our seats were on the 5th row so we had to wear ponchos, cause the blue man tend to get alittle crazy with paint.

I Love Christmas

I Absolutely love the Christmas season. I love the smells, the lights, the decorations, being with family, the faces my kids on Christmas morning, and the most important thing, celebrating Christ's birth.
This year I decided to do something different with my tree. Instead of having one tree we have three. Every year my kids get an ornament so I figured that they needed to have their own tree to display them. I get the tallest one, the second tallest one is Kylee's, and Zoey and Sophie share the small one for now. I eventually want them each to have there own. They had such a blast decorating them. Here are a few pictures of them hard at work and the finished product.

Happenings in the Tobler House

Wow were has its month gone!!! The kids have been keeping us very busy, well mostly Anni. Shawn says Anni is making sure she stays the youngest child by being a turd:) It is hard to believe she is 2 months old. I think we are starting to finally figure her out to where she doesn't yell at us all the time. We took her to the doctor today and she weighs 12lb 10oz and is 24 inches long. What a chunk!! She is still not sleeping through the night and is finally smiling every once in a while. She smiled at Kylee the other day and she was so excited.

At the first of the month Zoey lost her first tooth. She held on to the tooth as long as she could but it was getting to the point at which she was having a hard time eating. I was teasing her when it finally came out that the tooth fairy was only going to give her 2 Penny's for it because it was so little. She didn't think that was very funny:) In the end the tooth fairy was very nice and left her a dollar fifty

On Thursday Kylee was in the 3rd grade Spelling Bee. They take the top 5 speller from every class and they are the ones who get to participate. Kylee and one of her best friend made it. She was so nervous I got there alittle early and she was helping the teachers set up the chairs. When she was done she walked over to me and said she had tons of butterflies. She got out in the second round and so did Kari so I think that made it alittle easier. Shawn and I were really proud of her.

Sophie is just her crazy, happy self. She makes Shawn and I laugh all the time. The other day we were driving and there was a taxi in front of us and out of the blue she said ohhh look at all the stuff on the pizza car:0) She is always saying crazy things.

Anni's Blessing Day

This year the girls had a wonderful halloween carving jack-o-lanterns and getting their treats. The dentist will be happy to know that the girls found lots of people giving out treats and not so many tricks. They got home and dumped their candy out on the floor and I knew then we had probably knocked on too many doors. Hope everyone had a happy halloween.

Update on Anni

Iam so sorry that I havent posted in awhile. My life has been pretty crazy. Having a new baby is really hard but we are making it. Anni is really sweet and I love having her sweet spirit in the house.

Anni LOVES it when her dad talks to her. When Anni was just min old Shawn was talking to her in the warmer and she know exactly who he was she tried opening her eyes to find him.

I just thought Anni look so cute in this picture. It shows you how much she has grown. She is getting so cubby

I put Anni on the couch for just a min. and came back to find Sophie laying next to her I thought it was so sweet. Sophie loves her little sister.

The other morning I went in to check on Anni in her bed and this is how I found her.

This is Anni at 4 weeks old. Iam guessing she weighs 8 and a half pounds and probably 21 inchs long. As of right now all she does is eat, sleep and poop.

The New Addition

On Tuesday Sept. 23 our newest little girl was born. She arrived at 9:15p.m. weighing 7lbs 5oz and 20 inches long. Her name is Anni Tobler. She has tons of dark brown hair, long feet and fingers so were thinking she is going to be tall like her sister Kylee. We are really excited that she is finally here and healthy.

Shawn and I brought Anni home on Wednesday afternoon. Sophie was at the door waiting for us and as soon as Kylee and Zoey got home from school. The backpacks went flying and they wanted their sister. They have been really cute with her. Last night Sophie got a little green eyed and had a hard time going to bed, but with a little TLC she finally went. I figured she was going to have the hardest time because she kind of loves her mom and has a hard time sharing me. Sophie, Anni and I were hanging out on the bed this morning when I called Anni my little peanut and Sophie said "she isn't your peanut I am" so we had to come up with a different nickname for Anni:)

Off to Panaca

This last weekend we headed to Panaca to get in one more camping trip before we add an infant to the family and so Shawn could race in the motorcycle desert race being held there. The girls believe it or not love to go camping so we went on friday and came home sunday. Saturday Shawn, Kurt (Shawn's brother), Janten Reber, Kyle Tichenor, and Jason Burton all raced. Iam really pround of Shawn he took 3rd in his class and 3rd over all amateur (not to bad for not racing in over 2 years). Everyone that raced from mesquite did really good and everyone left with there bikes and bodies intact except for a few bruises and blisters. On sunday we drove up to the big city of Pioche which actually turned out to be alot of fun. We took a tour through the million dollar courthouse, ate at a really cute cafe and walked through the town museum. Kylee was really cute when we were driving home she said that it was the funest day of her whole life (even better than disneyland). Ofcourse Shawn was thrilled about that he doesn't care much for disneyland:)

The First Day Of School

The first day of school went really good. Kylee and Zoey both had a really good time and came home way excited to go back. I had a hard time leaving Zoey she just seems so little and for those of you who dont know her personality she is really shy and quite (I know thats hard to believe with the mother she has lol.) Needless to say she made it through the day fine and even found the right bus to get on and come home. Sophie also had a hard time without her sisters she kept asking when they were coming home and any noise that she would hear she would say "I think thats them" and run to the door to check. Kylee has a good friend in the same class and a really nice teacher so she has no complaints. She is really egar to learn her times tables and cursive.

Last Wednesday Shawn,the kids, and I drove down to Las Vegas to meet up with long time family friends, The Butlers (Michelle, Ryan, Brok, and Luke). They moved away from Mesquite 5 years ago. We hung out at their room and did alot of catching up and laughing. Then we decided to take the kids to Chucky Cheese for some dinner and entertainment. The kids had a blast! We don't go there much so they really think it is a treat when we brake down and take them.

Girls Trip To Park City

This year my mom took all of my sisters and our kids to Park City Utah for a little vacation. We left the heat on Thursday afternoon and came home on Sunday. Friday morning we got up and drove down the canyon to Hoggle Zoo my mom has wanted to take all of her grandkids to the zoo for a long time so she was really excited. Everyone had a blast the weather was perfect and all the animals were out and really playful. Later that afternoon we went back to the hotel and went swimming. On Saturday we went shopping over to the outlet mall there in park city, I think everybody and there dog decided that was a good day to go shopping so we decided to go back to the hotel and let the little kids take naps while the bigger kids went over and did the Alpine side and mini golf. Later that day we went back to the outlets to try and shop we did have 6 kids so not much shopping was getting done:) (What were we thinking)That night we orded pizza and watched a movie. On Sunday morning my mom made us yummy strawberry waffles with eggs and sausage. Thanks Mom for all you do you are the best.

The Last Swim Meet

On Aug.2 Kylee Swam in her last swim meet of the season. She did so awesome. She and her Dad had been working really hard on getting her starts better and it really paid off. She swam in 3 events and placed in all three. She took 4th in the butterfly, 3rd in the breast and 2nd in the freestyle. Shawn and I are really proud of her.

Our 4th of July weekend was packed with tons of fun activities. It started out on the 3rd with a Turtle Cove block party (sorry no pictures my camera battery died). That evening the kids and I went over to my moms house to have a sleep over so we could be up and ready for the early morning activities at the Bunkerville park. We had a delicious pancake breakfast followed by some foot races, egg toss, cotton candy, snow cones, water activities, dunk tank and tons of fun. After all the morning activities we took a much needed 3 hour nap and then we went over to the fire station for a BBQ with Shawn (who unfortunately had to work) and the other guys families. Around 7:30 we went over to the rec center to play in the bounce houses and watch the fireworks (with no tears this year from any kids). The next morning the kids and I drove up to Brian Head for the annual Anderson family reunion which was alot of fun. It's always fun to see and be with family. On Sunday Shawn finally got home from work and as soon as the sun went down the kids were ready to light some sparklers with their dad.

On Monday we had the big birthday party with the majority of Shawn and I family living in town the partys are pretty crazy but always alot of fun. This year we had a luau in the backyard with a BBQ, swimming, water balloon fights, and much more. The next day Sophie told me that she had a fun bithday party and that made all the hard work and crazyness worth it.

Shawn had to work on sophie's birthday so I wrapped one of her presents and took it to the fire station so she could open it with her dad. She got sooooo excited when she opened the present and saw what was inside she has wanted a baby alive for a long time and I kept telling her she had to wait until her birthday.

Kylee's first swim meet

On June 28th Kylee swam in her first swim meet in St. George at the Sand Hallow Aquatic Center. She swam in three events: Freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke. She was really excited and swam really good but most important she had a really good time.

This past weekend I went up to salt lake for a much needed girls weekend. It was a pretty laid back weekend. There was lots of talking, laughing, eating and even a new baby being born. Thanks girls for a wonderful weekend.

Yesturday Shawn played basketball, Firefighters vs Cops. The firemen spend alot of time on the ground due to the fact that a few of the cops thought they were playing football. It was a good game with the cops taking the game by 2.

Zoey's Swimming Lesson's

Zoey is a little fish she loves to swim and is really good at it. Stephanie (her teacher) was really impresses with her. When the summer first started Shawn and I were alittle nervous because she was acting like she forgot all she had learned but after a couple day of lesson it all came back to her.

This was the first year that Sophie took swimming lessons and oh what an experience it was. She hated every minute of it. She would start crying before we left the house and would only stop when she was rapped in her towel the funny thing was that although she was crying she would still do what she was asked. To beat the hot summer day I decided to take the girls and a couple of their friends to the Bunkerville spash park that just opened. They had so much fun the only complaint the kids had was that the water was cold, but really didn't stop them we were there for 2 hours.

The girl love to go see their dad at work. I havent taken them to the station in a long time so the other night I decided that I would take them. They of course had to get in every fire truck Shawn even let them turn on the lights. They had alot of fun I think there dad enjoyed it too.

Zoey's Big Day

On Friday May 30th 2008 Zoey graduated from the Sunshine Ac ademy. She was so excited and looked very pretty that day. It was really weird when her teacher Mrs. Janice stood up and said that this is going the graduating class of 2021. It made me reallysad because I know its going to be here before we know it. Zoey is an amazing girl. Shawn and I are very proud of her and love her tons.

Whitney Pockets

Camping at whitney pockets is always fun. This year the kids climbed all over the rocks and even got to go snipe hunting with there dad and uncle Brad. The kids wanted to sit around the camp fire and tell scary stories. There uncle Dale had them all on the look out for chief falling rock and hobo Joe who were known to hang out in the area(or so they believed).

Over memorial day weekend we packed up the trailer and drove out to Whitney Pockets. On Sunday we went on a 7 hour four-wheeler ride(tara was not very excited about it) but when all the whining was done it wasn't to bad. We ended up at the Savanic Mine on our ride which is a really cool old mine. The drive up to the mine you go along a really deep rocky canyon that is just beautiful.

Kylee's 2nd grade triathalon

On friday Mr. Durbin the P.E. teacher put together a triathalon for the kids. To start they had to run the length of the football field up and back then they ran into the gym got on some scooters and rode them around the gym once, they then ran back outside to the pool were they jumped into the deep end and swim to the little end. Kylee did such a good job shawn and I were so proud of her.

On friday they had a family fun night at the city ball fields. The kids had so much fun they had a bunch of differant bonce houses set up. They ran all over the place it was sooooo hard to keep track of them all.

On January 25th kylee turned 8 years old. I know it was hard for me to believe I have an 8 year old too!! She was baptized by her Dad on Febuary 2nd. It was so exciting to watch her take that big step in life. Shawn and I are so proud of her.
